MONTHLY PAYMENTS

Please note that monthly payments are calculated by taking the total number of classes over the entire school year and dividing them by the number of months, so that artists enrolled for the entire year will pay for exactly the number of classes they've received. While the monthly payment is the same each month, the number of classes will vary by month, and for artists joining specific months, tuition is NOT prorated based on the number of classes in a given month.

TRANSPORTATION

Please note that transportation takes ONE week from the time of registration to be processed. Parents must update their school dismissal manager app.

CLASS SCHEDULE

Classes operate based on the Dobbs Ferry public school calendar, and after-school programming will not run when schools are closed. School's Out Workshops will almost always be available!

MONDAYS: Clay Hand-Building →

Our clay hand-building classes are the perfect opportunity for artists to work with Scribble's favorite sculptural medium: CLAY! We'll explore various hand-building techniques using traditional clay tools and our most important sculpting tools: hands! Artists will make both functional and aesthetic ceramic pieces, and once they're fired, experiment with bright and colorful glazes. Perfect for artists who love to build, sculpt, and construct!

TUESDAYS: Drawing & Painting Studio →

This class explores the elements of color, line, and shape through abstract and representational painting. Artists will develop technical skills for various types of drawing and painting tools, and learn to balance careful decision-making with allowing artistic inspiration to flow.

WEDNESDAYS: Fiber Arts & Weaving →

This class will focus on exploring fabric and fibers as our materials. We’ll be “drawing” with embroidery thread,“painting” with yarn, and “collaging” with fabric. We’ll explore sewing and weaving to create textured, detailed, and colorful pieces of artwork in both 2-D and 3-D formats.

THURSDAYS: Printmaking →

This class is an intersection of printing and design. We’ll explore pattern, shape, color, and line to conceive of and create our own printed wearable and usable fabrics. We’ll explore a variety of printing methods, tools, and inks including block printing, monoprinting and collagraphs.

FRIDAYS: Comics →

In this class, artists create their own original graphic novels from start to finish: from character design and storyboarding, to drawing and inking their panels, to adding color and binding their pages into a working book!
