Inwood, NYC, Upstate Manhattan, the Northern-most tip of the city; whatever you want to call it, this studio is in the proverbial birthplace of Scribble.

While the exact location changed (only by a couple of blocks) pre and post COVID, we have been operating in Inwood since 2011 and Sasha, our Founder, started teaching art at local public schools there in 2006 (Washington Heights Academy for 4 years and them Muscota New School for 10 years). Our roots and heart remain in the Inwood community because so much of what makes Scribble special was developed in the public school classrooms and studio there.

Our Inwood studio is a welcoming, sunlight-filled, creative space.

Here, we encourage our young artists to explore all sorts of art-making including painting, sculpture, printmaking and fiber arts. On a typical day in the studio, you'll find toddlers and pre-schoolers exploring materials in the mornings and our after-school clubhouse abuzz with socializing and creativity in the afternoons.

Parties

Looking for a one-of-a-kind party experience? We’ve got you covered.

Scribble parties include your choice of a fun art project led by one of our amazing teachers, time for eating and socializing, plus optional add-ons like decorations, pizza, and more!

Private Lessons

Is your artist especially passionate about their art-making? Our one-on-one and pod (small group) lessons are a great opportunity for them to develop a more comprehensive art practice including setting up their workspace, finding inspirational artists that align with their innate artistic style and working through all the challenges and possibilities of each material or method we explore together.

We offer lessons for all ages — from toddlers up to adults!
